Torchwood is a unisex hat knit in the round, with a textured cable stitch pattern.
It is designed to be a very snug fit, but it can be turned into a slouchier version by adding one or more pattern repeats before decreasing for the crown.
You will need 90-120 meters (99-131 yards) of aran or worsted weight yarn (120-200 m/131-218 yards/100 g), 3.75 mm (5 US) needles for the border and 4.5 mm (7 US) needles for the rest of the project. You can pick your preferred tool for small circumference knitting in the round: DPNs, 40 cm (16 inches) circular needles or 80 cm (32 inches) circular needles for magic loop.
