Elegant and practical, a shawl collar is perfect to keep you warm and looks great! This cardigan is knit in one piece from the bottom up, the body uses a beautiful Acorn Lace pattern that flows smoothly into the ribbed yoke. Short rows are used afterwards to shape the ribbed shawl collar
Yarn
5 (5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8) skeins Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted, 100% superwash merino wool, 4oz (113g), 225 yds (206m), Color, Cranberry (45ns).
Needles & Notions
1 US size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 40” (100cm) length (or longer for larger cardigan size)
1 set US size 8 (5mm) double-pointed needles
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve gauge.
Stitch markers, waste yarn, stitch holders, 6 buttons 3/4” (2cm) diameter, tapestry needle.
Gauge
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch blocked.
21 stitches and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Acorn Lace Pattern & Ribbing Pattern blocked.
