Tortoise Lace Scarf
DETAILS
The texture of this scarf is what makes it so beautiful! The lace design adds interesting detail to an effortless look. The scarf is knit using seed stitch and a simple lace pattern with a 4-row repeat, making it a quick project to complete. The pattern can be adjusted to your desired length.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
These are approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on what yarn you use (weight, fiber content, ply, etc.), your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make to the size of your finished project.
Sport/Light DK Weight (600-700 yds)
- project pictured used 656 yards -
This pattern is very adaptable, so feel free to play around with yarn from light fingering to DK weight and see what results you get!
SUGGESTED YARN
For this project, we chose to go with a hand-dyed, 100% pure certified organic wool yarn. It is soft to the touch, and perfect for those sensitive skin areas like the neck. The 2-ply sport weight yarn is soft and has a great drape; ideal for shawls and scarves.
EcoLana (200g/656yds): Tortoise Shell
EcoLana yarn is loosely plied which will lend your finished piece a lovely drape. It is recommended for shawls, lacey openwork or flowing garments. The yarn has a beautiful sheen and a subtle nuance of color that can only be achieved through careful hand dyeing.
