Tosca
Easy to wear Tosca combines a comfortable shape with eye-catching details. The interesting construction results in a modified drop shoulder shape with 1x1 shaped ribbing along the armholes and the back raglan lines. The richly textured fronts are also framed by shaped 1x1 ribbing, adding movement while elegantly framing the neck and the face. The sleeves are finished with horizontal ribbed cuffs that can be worn buttoned up or open, and the split ribbed hem adds a little drama to the stockinette back of the cardigan.
CONSTRUCTION
Tosca is worked from the top down. First, the back yoke is worked back and forth until the underarm. Then, stitches are picked up from the slanted edges of the back yoke to work the back and front shoulders. The front yoke is worked to the underarms, where the fronts and back are joined to work the body seamlessly. For the body you can choose to work the sweater with or without horizontal bust darts and / or tapering of the body. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up around the armhole. The sleeve caps are shaped using German short rows, after which the sleeves are worked in the round.
