Enjoy my brand new summer shawl called “Totally cool” I’d love it if you added the pattern to your faves and wish you happy knitting.

I knitted mine from a knit kit by Yarnz2go.. It’s totally worth it as it comes with the Lightly perfectly arranged and the mini skein as well as the printed and also emailed pattern in a project bag !!

The shawl gets knitted top down and it continuous to grow until the very start of the bottom lace border, which is done with a very cool double yarn over lace design. It is knitted with a single skein of our special Lightly in an all new color way called “Aquatic” and the knit kits also include a mini skein of DK weight to finish up that lace border as shown.

The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart.
The blocked size measures 57” in overall length and 15.5” in middle height.

C1 - One Lightly skein, specially arranged when order is placed with 7 changes in colors and textures. 238 yards in fingering, lace and some have a DK weight added especially for this project to create the bottom lace.
C2 - A mini skein of 40 yards in an organic cotton, a DK weight.

Notions needed
US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows in 4” of fingering weight.

Techniques applied:
Knitting, purling, increasing, double yarn overs, knitting and purling into double yarn overs, binding off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results. I do steam iron my non wool designs, it works quickly and well.
