Totally Different LOSY Hat
After sorting my LOSY into color categories, I realized I had way more solid colors than anything else. Therefore, I needed a pattern that would use more solids. I chose to do the ribbing and crown in solid colors, two strands held together, and the body of the hat in a combined solid/pattern. I also wanted the pattern stitch to be easily remembered so I didn’t need to worry about having a pattern copy available. This moderate swirl pattern fits the bill very nicely and I don’t get bored knitting it over and over. I hope you all enjoy my solution for using up all of the LOSY. This pattern is an eight stitch repeat and a 10 row repeat so you can change the size of the hat by increasing or decreasing your cast on.
The only thing my pattern has in common with the original LOSY Hat pattern is in the fact that both use left over sock yarn. This is not a modification of the original pattern. In my attempt to offer a unique pattern to use left over sock yarn I used terminology ie: modification, to describe this pattern in error.
