Totnes Sweater
by Emma Vining
“This design combines the right side and wrong side of the same stitch pattern to create an interesting contrast between long wavy lines and a basket-weave stitch pattern,” says Emma Vining. “Alternating knit and purl sections push and pull the long rib-style lines into curves. These curves appear to move in a similar way to a cable pattern, but are worked without any cable movements. The reverse of this pattern creates a beautiful contrast showing the alternating textural detail which has a woven appearance.”
