AWE means “afterthought with ears,” and is based on
the same concept as my Tootsie socks, which imitated
a French or round heel shape.

This is a toe-up sock with a gusset and a modified
square heel. The modification allows the gusset to be
larger than normal, while keeping the heel flap the
usual length.

The website that previously hosted this has dropped all of my old patterns. They are currently unavailable, but I may reissue them at another time.
