Touch of the Bobbly
Easy and fun, and full of as many bobbles as you like - personally I prefer to put in just a touch! Lots of texture - stripes are created not only with the self-striping yarn, but with reverse stockinette stitch randomly placed in sections. And did I mention the bobbles??
Please note: this is a recipe more so than a pattern. It consists basically of 4 rows, however you will need to be creative and decide where you would like to switch back and forth between stockinette and reverse stockinette stitches, and also where you would like to randomly place bobble stitches. I want you to have an enjoyable experience, so if you need fully written pattern instructions, you probably will not like this recipe. :)
The scarf measures approx. 5ft long and uses 2 50g skeins of self-striping heavy worsted weight yarn in either matching or not matching colorways. The pictured samples used Wisdom Yarns Poems Silk and Noro Silk Garden, but you may use any equivalent of your choice.
The wrap measures approx. 7ft long and uses 2 100g skeins of self-striping heavy worsted weight yarn in either matching or not matching colorways. The pictured sample used Noro Taiyo, but you may use any equivalent of your choice.
2 needle sizes are mentioned - a US 8 should be fine, but if you knit a little on the tight side or have a skein that has more thick than thin parts (very possible with Noro Taiyo) then I would suggest going up to a US 9.
Exact gauge listed is approximate and not critical for this pattern.
