Toy Censer
by Maria Naasko
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This toy censer is perfect for playing church. It’s just like a real censer, with a top that slides up and down and a little black coal brick that you can take in and out. When I made it, I had parents in mind as well as kids. It’s bell-free, meaning it’s quiet (to preserve your sanity) and it’s less of a choking hazard. If you prefer bells, substitute a bsc (bead single crochet) done with a bell for each bobble.
What you’ll need:
- D/3.25mm hook
- 55 yds. worsted weight yarn, for the censer
- Small amount worsted-weight yarn in black, for the coal
- Small amount of stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle
- Ruler/measuring tape
- Optional: additional stitch markers and fabric glue
Special Stitches:
- Bobbles
- Back post single crochet
I am always available for help, support, and questions over both Facebook and Ravelry if you need it so don’t hesitate to contact me!
