A fat sheep with floppy legs and a silly face – fun to make and sooo cuddly!
Use novelty “bobble” yarn and 8 ply/DK in any colour you like.
Vary the colour used for head, ears and legs, and give them different faces. Make a flock!
As a fan of Mem Fox’s book “Where is the green sheep?” I made a sample in green too, with slightly longer legs.
Update January 2017: I’m told that this type of bobble yarn is becoming hard to find in the US though it is still available elsewhere (search for bobble or pompom yarn).
If you are looking for an alternative King Cole Cuddles Chunky or 8ply will give a different but still fluffy “sheepy” look.
