Christmas stockings are the perfect festive season home décor items that are a great evening project to make, thoughtful present to give, and can be treasured for many generations. There aren’t many things as delightful as watching children’s eyes widen with excitement upon seeing stockings filled with treats.

The Toy Soldier Stocking is made from bottom-up and worked flat in two pieces. It is crocheted along the short edge with shaping to form the front of the stocking. Two distinct textured sections are alternated for the length of the project. The two pieces are sewn together at the end using the Crab Stitch.
