I designed this toy train as a birthday gift for my train obsessed son. He loves it and I hope you do too!

The trains and carriages are attached with magnets which I sew to the inside of the knitted body to make sure that they are well away from little fingers. You do need quite strong magnets to hold the train together through two layers of knitting. Alternatively you could use buttons to attach the carriages.

I have provided yarn information for the yarns pictured, however this project is perfect for stashbusting so feel free to use whatever you have.
