Toys from the Toybox Part II
After publishing Toys from the Toybox I had a lot of requests for more characters. Hence the need to publish a Part II to the Toybox.
If these are being given to a baby I would suggest knitting these with nice soft cotton Aran/worsted weight yarn but I have had great results using acrylic and wool yarns too. For an older child/adult of course you can use a variety of textured, furry/fuzzy yarns. There are so many readily available today that we are quite spoilt for choice. Please see yarn suggestions below to see what I have already tried.
If you wish to use double knit please lower your needle size to 3mm/3US. Your character will be a little smaller.
The eyes are embroidered; I have included details in the step-by-step assembly guide to help you. You could of course use safety eyes; I would suggest 15mm in size.
Yarn Suggestions: I have used Drops Paris cotton Aran, Rico Aran Cotton and Lily’s Sugar and Cream. All these yarns have a lovely array of colour choices.
For fuzzy yarns I have used: Phildar Nounous; Phildar Neige; Phildar Phil Douce; Rico by Design Teddy Aran; James C Brett Wildcat; Wendy Eider
NOTES TO KNITTER: To increase, knit into the front and back of the same stitch. If you wish to use ribbons and adornments please ensure they are stitched securely in place.
Included in package:

Elephant
Bunny
Donkey
Bear Cub
These critters measure 10 inches/30cms from head to toe Also included is a step by step making up direction, which is full of photos, hints and tips to help you create a perfect Toy from the Toybox character.
