Tracery
Tracery pattern is free to download! Happy Knitting! :)
Tracery is worked in the round with a simple cable and lace pattern. The 2-stitch wide „ropes” of the cables create an interesting lattice frame, the texture of the diamond shaped sections produces a beautiful 3-dimensonal surface. The stitch pattern creates a deep texture which looks good in dark colours.
Hat begins with an optional tubular cast on, the crown shaping is integrated into the pattern. Please note that the cable and lace pattern is charted only.
Gauge
22 sts and 28 rounds = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Tracery Cable Pattern knit in the round with needle A after blocking
Base gauge: 18 sts and 26 rounds = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit in the round with needle A after blocking
Obtaining the correct gauge is not crucial, but any differences will affect the size of the finished hat.
