Tracery recollects the light and airy open stonework featured in many medieval buildings, especially in their window frames. The narrow cables look intricate but are not difficult to work. Once you have established the pattern it should become mostly intuitive.

Uses approx 140yd of 8ply DK weight wool or wool blend, and designed for unisex wear, to fit an average size teen/adult. You will need also 4mm circular needles on a 40cm cable, a cable needle, and DPNs or longer magic loop cable for the crown decrease section.

Size can be adjusted up or down by working more or fewer (horizontal and/or vertical) repeats of the charts; or, changing needle size and/or yarn weight.
