About:
Tracking along hat is a cosy DK / 8ply knitting pattern, designed in 5 sizes from Newborn up to adult large. This stretchy design is worked in the round, decreasing using your preferred small circumference method.
The twisted stitch and eyelet patterning is both written and charted so you can work in your preferred way. There are options for a folded or straight brim. This knitted hat looks great with or without a pompom. You may like to pair your Tracking along hat with the Tracking along cardigan.
Recommended Yarn: DK / 8ply weight
A smooth, single colour, 100% Polwarth or merino yarn. Sample was knitted in Eden by Wild Earth Yarns.
Gauge:
Knit in pattern in the round, 24 stitches x 30 rounds = 10cm/4” (3.75mm / US6 needles)
Meterage: Approximately
If you choose a double brim you will need to allow for an extra 20% more yarn than approximate measurements below.
Recommended Needles: (adjust needles to meet gauge)
3.25mm / US3 30-40cm / 12-16” length circular needles for ribbing.
3.75mm / US5 30-40cm / 12-16” length circular needles for main body of hat.
Your preferred small circumference method for the smallest hat sizes and for the crown decreases.
