This pattern uses American Terminology.
Pattern Description: Imagine your child having great fun with this traditional British meal consisting of sausage, egg, chips and beans. Accompanied by a good ole cuppa, of English tea.
Pattern Difficulty: Beginner/Intermediate.
Finished size: plate: height:1 inch, width:5 inches, cup: height: 2 inches, width: 1.5 inches, sausage: height: 0.5 inches, width: 3 inches, egg: 2.5 x 2.5 inches, chips: height: 5mm, width: 2.5 inches, beans: height: 5mm, width:1.5 inches.
Gauge: 22sc=4 inches.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
blo=back loops only
flo=front loop only
inc= increase (crochet twice in same stitch)
dec=decrease ((crochet two stitches together)
sl st=slip stitch
Rnd=round
sts (s)=stitch(es)
rs=right side
f/o=fasten off
Required Materials: I used ‘Special’ by stylecraft- double knit yarn, 100% premium acrylic. (564 yards, 514 metres).
50g skein green
25g skein blue
25g skein yellow
25g skein brown
25g skein white
25g skein orange
Small amount of beige yarn
4mm/G crochet hook
Small amount of fibre fill.
Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker, Scissors.
Pattern notes:
• You can use any colour yarns of your choice. (Colours listed above are recommended).
• The plate, cup, sausage, egg, chips, tea, and beans are all made in a continuous spiral, NO JOINING, you will place a stitch marker in the last st of each round.
• The cup handle is made using hdc and 2 strands of yarn.
• You can make 2 sets of each item with the above amount of yarn for this pattern.
• At the end of making each item weave in all your ends.
• The numbers in the () at the end of each rnd/row indicate the amount of sts you should have.
• To change colour yarn, on last st of rnd insert your hook and pull through a loop, you should have 2 loops on your hook, instead of pulling through the yarn add the next colour yarn you need to use, pull through the loop to finish the st, secure both yarns at the back of the piece then f/o 1st yarn.
