4 mm / 80 cm US 6 / 32 in circular needle
for the magic loop technique
Change the needle size if needed to match
the given gauge.
ADDITIONAL
- Stitch markers
- 2 x safety pins or other small stitch holders
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
LT / LEFT TWIST
Knit the second stitch on the left needle tbl
(through the back loop) followed by the first
stitch on the left needle normally, then drop
both stitches off the needle. This changes
the order of the two stitches, and the stitch
crossing from the front slants towards the
left.
WORKFLOW
The Trail hand warmers are worked bottom
up.
You will start by casting on stitches for the
wrist cuff, and work the arm in the round
towards the hand.
Once you are happy with the length of the
arm, start increasing for the thumb gusset.
Once the increases are worked, the thumb
stitches are placed on hold while finishing
the rest of the hand.
Later you will bring the thumb stitches back
to the needles and finish the hand warmers
by finishing the thumb.
