Trail Mix Wrap
A beginner-friendly, slipped stitch pattern featuring mosaic knitting. The sections in the wrap can be mixed in any order. 10 amazing sections in fun and interesting stitch patterns. This wrap is perfect for mixing colors too! You can create a personal statement piece using anywhere from 2 to 20 colors (mini-skeins would be perfect)! High-contrast colors look best for this graphically bold pattern. Have fun choosing yarn to create your individual Trail Mix Wrap!
Written and charted instructions are included.
Supplies Needed:
• Size 5 US Needles - circular to accommodate stitches
• 2 Stitch Markers
• 1410-1600 yards of fingering weight/sock yarn -
• Suggestions follow:
• 4 skeins for a two-color version (2 of each color). OR
• 2 full skeins for background and 10 mini skeins for contrast OR
• 20 mini skeins (10 lighter and 10 darker for contrast. Pair one dark and one light for each section.) OR
• Scrap yarn in a variety of colors. Each section uses approximately 80 yards of each color (160
yards total per section)
Pattern is written for two contrasting colors. Color 1 is shown in neutral on cover photo. Color 2 is the contrast color. This pattern can be made with many different high-contrast color combinations. Mix it up!
Sample 1 was knit in Sandbank and Pocion. Sample 2 used Tin Soldier and Frank Ochre.
Finished Dimensions: Approx. 75 inches length, 19 inches wide. Steam/ wet blocking is highly recommended.
