The Trailing Fern Necktie is a fingering weight necktie, worked in an intricate cable and seed stitch pattern. The cable repeats and the gentle taper of the necktie are reminiscent of the trailing flora of the pacific northwest, while the seed stitch creates a beautiful contrasting border. The tie is knit flat and worked from the bottom up.

The necktie length is easily adjustable. You may choose to do more or less repeats of each cable pattern section for a longer or shorter tie. If you are unsure of the length of tie desired I recommend finding a tie of your desired size and measuring against it as you knit to get an idea of how many repeats to do.
