This is a crescent-shaped shawl worked in two colors; although it would be beautiful in one color as well, which you can see in the finished in projects.

I used Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co yarns to create this special shawl. The specific yarns used, (merino and mohair) have sadly been discontinued. But, her other fingering weight yarns would be equally beautiful. Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co naturally dyes her yarns using natural dye material. She is able to achieve such lovely colors that seem full of life.

The shawl begins with a garter stitch tab and is worked from the top down. It is a relaxing knit with portions of stockinette, eyelets, and lace. The lace pattern features delicate, trailing leaves.

The pattern has been tested and tech edited. The instructions are both written and charted.

I listed Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co Mohair / Silk Lace as one choice for this shawl, and it is what I used as one of the skeins in my sample. I held it double. I only recommend using this option, if you are a very experienced lace knitter. Otherwise, I recommend using only fingering weight yarn in this pattern. ♥

1 skein of Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co Falkland Merino 4-ply single, 541 yds / 495 m per 100 g. (Used as color A.) and 1 skein of Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co Mohair Silk Blend Lace, 72% mohair / 28% silk, 459 yds / 420 m per 50 g. (Held doubled and used as color B.) See Note below.

3.50 mm (US 5) needles for working flat or size needed for correct gauge.
