The Train Driver Vest was inspired by my own little boys who love playing with trains in all shapes and sizes. This unisex vest is designed to be hard-wearing and practical – test driven by my boys who are used to rough and tumble. Another key design feature is ease of putting on and taking off so little boys can do it themselves.

The vest is designed for sizes 1-2, 2-4, 4-6, 6-8. Pattern states finished dimensions. Please check the dimensions as the sizes are generous.

This vest is knitted using a 10ply (aran) wool (Patons Jet recommended). The design has textural interest with a very simple combination of stocking (stockinette), garter and basket stitch. As it is knit in 10ply and the front and back are identical, it knits up very quickly!

A matching beanie pattern is provided for free with the Train Driver Vest.

Correction: The cast-on number for sizes 2-4 is 52, for 4-6 is 56 and for 6-8 is 60. Revised pattern to be uploaded in next couple of days.
