Welcome back one of my first designs: Molly the train!
This time on a lovely train fair isle beanie.
There are many color changes but at most two colors in one round.
Therefore it is a more challenging fair isle project but really worth it!

I did a corrugated ribbing to resemble the railroad tracks and it is also used as small border pattern between the trains.
The colorful train pattern consists of tiny railway engines with two waggons and are repeated over the whole beanie, the steam clouds puffing off the engine.

At the top is the blue sky with some tiny clouds and the sun is shining at the top.

I was inspired by a toy spinning top with a tiny train in it.
I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing this fun beanie as much as I did drafting it.

Ich hab mal wieder ein älteres Design von mir aufgegriffen: Zug Molly hat’s mir diesmal angetan.

Ich hatte als Kind so einen Zugkreisel und der war mit der Grund für dieses putzige Muster.

Die Molly Zugmütze hat einen zweifarbigen gleisartigen Bund, danach wechseln sich Zugbordüren (Dampflock Molly mit je zwei Waggons) und Gleisbordüren ab. Obendrauf ist der blaue Himmel mit ein paar Schafwölkchen und der Sonne mit vielen Sonnenstrahlen.

Obwohl die Mütze sehr bunt ist, werden maximal zwei Farben in jeder Runde verstrickt.
Aufgrund der vielen Farbwechsel ist es eher ein Muster für fortgeschrittene Fair Isle-Stricker/Innen.

Die ideale Gute-Laune-Mütze.
Es gibt auch einen dazu passenden Loop.
