This easy filet crochet blanket pattern creates a beautiful and effective train blanket ready to take any little one on a journey wrapped in love.

The pattern is in both UK and US terms and includes not only the chart but also the written pattern so is easy to work up quickly whichever you prefer to work from.

The finished blanket measures approximately 32” by 28”.

I made the one photographed in 8ply (DK/light worsted weight) yarn using a 4mm hook but you could use any weight yarn and relevant hook to create a blanket of varying sizes.

The subtle understated rainbow effect of the colours used adds to the overall effect given from the finished blanket but would look equally as wonderful in a single colour throughout
