Trainer Booties
These little Converse-style baby booties are so quick and simple to make yet look so colourful and quirky.
Unlike many knitted booties, you do not need to pick up stitches (which can be tricky for novice knitters). And I think they’re one of those lovely things that look so much more complicated to knit than is actually the case.
They are knitted on straight needles in DK (light worsted/8ply) weight yarn and available in three sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-9 months.
For even the biggest size you will need approx. 15.5yd of white yarn, 2.75yd black yarn and 22yd in your main colour.
The crochet hook is needed for the decorative laces only - you will only need to make a crochet chain. If you do not have a hook in the stated size, you can use one of similar size.
