About the pattern

Wrap yourself in a big, cozy shawl with beautiful texture and bands of eyelets. Use a mohair companion with a gradient yarn cake to get the dreamiest triangle shawl in your favorite colors.

The shawl is built from the top middle point and grows along the edges and the spine, with a geometric increase in an easy to remember stitch pattern.

The optional regular crochet edge adds some playfulness and helps straighten out the Tunisian crochet fabric in the rest of the shawl.

The shape and size of this shawl make it perfect for tying around your waist, to keep your hands free for any activities.

Shape and measurements

The sample made in the mentioned yarn has 60 rows, not including the regular crochet edge, and measures 250 cm or about 98.5” across the top edge, and 70 cm or 27.5” in width, after blocking.

Materials

• Yarn: about 800-900 meters of yarn of your preference in DK or Aran or size 3-4 weight yarn at 200 meters per 100 grams;
• Hook - 7 mm Tunisian crochet hook with 100-150 (40”-60”) cable or hook that gets you gauge, 4.5-5 mm regular crochet hook;
• Tapestry needle, scissors, tape measure;
• Stitch markers;
• Tools for blocking (iron with steam or other steamer), blocking mats and pins.

• 1 cake of Cotton Kings Sultan gradient yarn (800 m per 200 g cake), 100% cotton, color 26 Peridot (discontinued);
• 3.5 balls of Hobbii Diablo yarn (225 m per 25 g ball), 40% acrylic, 30% mohair, 30% polyamide, colorway 01 Optic white.
