Tranquil Waters Fingerless Gloves
When things get stressful and intense, comfort can be found in hooks and yarn. With straightforward rows of neat stitches that slowly grow into a gorgeous finished object, the Tranquil Waters Fingerless Gloves are intended to act as a port in the storm. It’s entirely mindless, with minimal counting and shaping, and the pops of textured rows provide the perfect mental break.
Though the pattern itself is fairly mindless, the techniques used make this an intermediate pattern. Tutorials are linked whenever possible.
For some aspects of the pattern, the instructions provide the same information in a number of ways (e.g. you can count the rows in each section, the total number of rows, or the number of repeats). You don’t need to count in all the ways - the variety is there so that you can count in whichever way works best for you!

Sample
Sample uses Miss Babs Yowza, 77yds/31g in Dunk to create a size Teen.
Thanks to Miss Babs for providing the yarn for the pattern sample!
Yarn and Yardage
The pattern is most visible in a solid or tonal yarn. A lightly variegated or speckled yarn can add loads of visual interest and add an excellent contrast to the simplicity of the gloves.
The pattern uses 70yds/28g for size Child, 87yds/35g for size Teen, 100yds/40g for size Adult S, 124yds/50g for size Adult M, 132yds/53g for size Adult L; yardage will vary with any modifications made.
Modifications & Adjustments
The pattern includes notes for making the cuff larger/smaller, as well as for making the finger section longer/shorter. There’s also notes for adjusting the placement of the textured rows, adding more textured rows, and making the whole glove larger/smaller.
