Transitions Shawl and Shawlette
The pattern has been updated October 2021 to include the instructions for the Shawlette version at the end pages 5-7. Further details below at the end.
Shawl version
A simple garter stitch shawl with triangular shaping.
Knitted with three colour changing yarns, these are transitioned with narrow stripes,
finished with an eyelet and picot edging.
Skills
Cast on, cast off, knit stitch, make one stitch, knit 2 stitches together, slip a stitch, bring yarn forward.

Variegated DK weight yarn in three complimentary colours, each 298m/326yds in length

4.5mm circular knitting needle 120cm long to accommodate the number of stitches

Blunt tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Tension
19 st x 42 rows in garter stitch
Shawlette version

Alternative yarn
Any colour swirl 4ply weight yarn with a small mohair content

4.5mm circular at least 40cm long to accommodate stitches.
