Trash Panda Cowl
The trash panda cowl was originally designed as a birthday surprise gift for my partner who is obcessed with raccoons. All of the motifs and charts were designed by me and carefully charted.
The cowl is made in one size, knit in the round, with two color rib edging before knitting the main chart.
The pattern includes full charting for the raccoon motifs.
I have intentionally not given float instructions as part of the pattern because everyone has their own technique for float catching. I just catch them with the main color, but you can use other techniques like ladderback jacquard should you wish.
I used cabled cast on and cabled bind off, but one of my test knitters favored a portugese bind off. Which you use is entirely up to you.
I used my own handspun for my cowl which was a DK weight, but I had my test knitters use different, commercial yarns. Any DK weight yarn will work just fine for this pattern.
Total yardage required is 580yds.
You will need 380yds MC and 185yds of the CC
You will also need 3.75mm and 4.0mm 60cm circular needles.
You are more than welcome to knit this to gift, but please note, this is a copyrighted design and I do not give anyone consent to make this item for sale.
