Tratun socks
Today, April 28th 2021, the shops in Holland open their doors again. Only for a limited number of people per m² floor, but nevertheless… We can go out and buy yarn, yeahhh!
This asks for a celebration. What do you think about a pattern for a pair of socks?
You will need 2 skeins of sock yarn - 6ply/DK for thick winter socks, 4ply/fingering for summer socks, exact yarn amounts are given in the pattern..
Also needed:
traditional hooks size 3 mm and 4 mm,
Tunisian hook size 4 mm,
double-ended Tunisian crochet hook size 5 / 6 mm.
Traditional crochet combined with Tunisian crochet resulted in ‘Tratun’ socks.
The pattern is available in Dutch, English (US terms) and German.
I love the sturdiness of the Tunisian Crochet on the foot, but making a stretchy cuff on the leg was only possible by using traditional crochet.
Thank you, @Mirjam Annaars, @Marie-José Lamontagne, @Heidrun Liegmann, for all your help with editing, testing, translating, thinking, advising, making pictures, etc.
My special thanks goes to @Tania Leis for making the wonderful video for Tratun.
