Travel Buddy Cowl is a part of my collection of patterns inspired by The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien. This pattern uses different textures,a simple cable broken up by a basketweave of garter and stockinette stitch, to tell the story of the Hobbits as they traveled together along their journey. Designed for either one or two colors of DK weight yarn, the texture also works well with variegated, tonal, or solid colored yarns, as long as the variegated colors aren’t too different. Travel on an unexpected journey as you knit this fun pattern to there and back again, or wherever you find yourself on the road!

• Circumference around at hems: 24”/60 cm

GAUGE

• Garter St with smaller needles: 21 sts and 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm after blocking
• Cable Pattern with larger needles: 24 sts and 30 rnds = 4”/10 cm after blocking

NEEDLES
US Size 6 (4 mm) and US Size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” length circular needles for working in the round. Or size needed to obtain gauge.
