This is the first pattern in the 2019 Erin Lane Stash Crash club. It will become available to the general public for sale on April 15th. The price will become $8.00 at that time.

This hat starts at the top with just 2 sts and an I-cord LIKE cast on. You will quickly shift onto more needles (your choice for small circumference knitting). The broken rib stitch pattern creates a hat with lots of stretch. The Merino/Silk blend I used gives it tons of drape. If you prefer a hat with more body than drape, I would suggest straight merino or a merino/nylon blend.
The band on this hat is knit in a ribbed cable that pulls it in just enough to hold it on without giving you a headache. I finished mine with a sewn bind off, but you could substitute any stretchy bind off you like.

This is an enhanced pattern, meaning there are accompanying videos embedded within the pattern that will guide you through working the I-cord like cast on and the sewn bind off.
