Let’s knit a Basic Turtle Neck Sweater together for free !

The Traveler Turtle Sweater has a distinctive loose fit. It has a positive ease, a turtle neck and the front and back are joined with a shoulder flap.

It is worked in the round from bottom to top for the body then flat for the front and back. the sleeves are picked up from the body and worked in the round too. Also the collar is knit in the round from the picked-up body stitches.

For the pictured model, I used one strand of baby alpaca.

To knit it, you’ll need a set of circular and double-pointed needles 3 mm/US3 and 2.5 mm/US1 and around 6 skeins of babby alpaca.

The instructions exist in french and english and a video is also available to make the shoulder flap.
