This shawl is worked very simply in alternating sections of simple garter and a four row repeat of lace. It is a symmetrical rectangle, worked straight from one end. There is a center section, and the ‘wings’ of the shawl are knit in the same number of matching sections. The lace portions are designed for mohair with the garter sections in a complimentary fingering weight yarn. The result is a light weight, deceivingly complex looking and surprisingly warm wrap. Perfect for your travel adventures. A warm layer that won’t add bulk or too much weight is ideal for travelin’ light.
