Traveling Moss
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Inspired by the twilight hours and the twinkling of stars- I wondered what you would wear to keep yourself warm as you walked in the moonlight. Traveling Moss is a large triangle shawl that can be worn traditionally over the shoulders or wrapped around your neck like a scarf. The banded Moss Stitch section at the bottom of the shawl uses a mohair lace held with the fingering to give the shawl some added texture along with lots of fringe.
This shawl is approximately 67” in length and 31” in depth before blocking and not including fringe.
Yarn:
- Color A- 840 yds of fingering weight
- Color B- 200 yds of fingering weight and 200 yds lace weight
Needle: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) 40” circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 6 knit sts & 8 rows = 1”
