The vine earwarmer is a stunning twist of traveling cables. Just like the many species of newly discovered plants, we can discover new ways to transform our yarn. While I’m still working on my green thumb as an aspiring gardener, for now, I find the vines in knitting are longer lasting.
Supplies:
• Size US 10 (6.0 mm) needles
• Removable stitch markers if needed
• Blocking board with blocking pins
• Yarn needle
• Cable Needle
Yarn:
• Madelinetosh ASAP in Antler
Bulky Weight Yarn
Yarn substitutions (check gauge):
• Malabrigo Rasta
• Manos Del Uruguay Franca
• Cascade Boliviana Bulky
Yardage:
• Approx. 70 Yards 64 meters
Skill Level:
• Intermediate
Gauge:
• 16 sts and 20 rows = 4” (10 cm)
In Single Crochet
Measurements:
• Width: Adult size, brim stretches to fit 19-23″ heads (48-58 cm)
Height: 4 inches (10 cm)
Abbreviations:
• k- knit
• ML- make one left
• MR- make one right
• p - purl
• p2tog - purl two together
• RS - right side
• sl st - slip stitch
• WS - wrong side
