My “Travelry” Series incorporates small, but nevertheless rewarding projects which are excellent to do while travelling; small enough to fit into any bag, impressive/fun enough to get fellow travellers talking and great items to wear – or to give away as a present!

“Travelry” Easy Socks: I’d like to start “Travelry” with a basic sock pattern. There seems to be a myth that knitting socks is really difficult. I used to believe it until I was instructed the right way!

As socks are ideal knitting projects when travelling, I’d like to share some with you. This is a basic sock pattern which can be used for plain or variegated wool – or you can use up lots of left-over bits of wool from other projects!

Deshalb möchte ich hier mit Euch diese Strick-anleitung teilen, mit denen man ganz einfach tolle Socken stricken kann. Auch besonders gut zum Aufbrauchen von Wollresten.
Meine „Travelry“ Serie beinhaltet lauter kleine Strickprojekte, die perfekt in jede Tasche passen – genau richtig, wenn man unterwegs ist.

Techniques Used/ Techniken:

• Using double-ended needles/ mit Nadelspiel stricken
• Knit and purl stitches/ rechte und linke Maschen
• Knitting in the round/ Rundstricken
• Picking up stitches? Maschen aufnehmen
• Short rows/ kurze Reihen

* 100g DK (11wpi) yarn/ Garn.

Needles:
* set of 2.5mm (US 1.5) double-pointed needles/ Nadelspiel 2.5mm
