Vests are versatile garments for babies and easy projects for knitters. As an extra layer, vests won’t hinder little arms and legs while still keeping tiny bodies warm without overheating. Also, if made from cotton blends, they can be worn as sleeveless tops in warmer weather. Best of all, they are quick projects for knitters!

Treasure Vests comes in four different styles as well as five Sizes: Newborn, 0- 3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-24 months,
Simply choose the best option based on your child.

These cute little vests use different and easy stitches to create a cozy Kimono Vest (the wrap style construction makes it easy to get on and off), Ribbed Vest, Envelope Neck Vest (also designed for easy dressing) and Twinkle Star Vest your baby can wear throughout a variety of seasons.

The cute I-cord ties add a nice touch, but can be omitted. There’s no better way to welcome your newest bundle of joy into the world than with something you’ve knitted yourself.

Made with the softest of yarn, these adorable simple vest patterns are sure to keep baby both warm and comfy. You don’t even have to be a master knitter to take up this project. These easy knitted vest patterns are perfect for all skill levels!

If you’re headed to a baby shower in the near future, a knitted bolero would make the perfect gift for any mum-to-be.

Knitting needles 3mm (US2.5) and 2.75 mm ( US2), either straight or short circulars, which I find a lot easier to work with.

For the I-cord, additional 2 DPNs in size 2.75mm (US2)
3 ply yarn, you will need up to 100g per vest, regardless of style or size.
I suggest Schachenmayr Glanzperle or Sirdar Snuggly 3 ply

Tension/Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rows make 10 cm or 4 “ square, over stockinette stitch and the larger needles

This is a flat knit project, and requires some seaming, as well as picking up sts.
