Treasures from the Forest Path
Three times each day during spring and summer, I leave the farm and take to the forest path.
Together with my flock of Grå Trønder sheep, we follow along the pathway and climb the mountain.
I use these daily journeys as opportunities to forage and to fill my basket with the natural windfall treasures that I find upon the forest floor.
This traditional, rustic, triangular, farm Hap is warm, light, and has beautiful drape.
Used to wrap yourself up in, as you stroll along the forest path, with your foraging basket.
As you knit along, you simulate picking up pine cones, one by one. One, two, three…until your basket is full and you begin to make the journey home.
This design, in its entirety, was inspired by the journeys I have made along the forest path together with my little flock and the many treasures that I have collected and brought back home to the farm.
Thank you for joining me on the forest path!

Planning your project:
You will need 4 balls of Rauma PT 2 garn, for a total of 200 grams and 700 meters. The hap was designed and knit with Colour 4121.
You can purchase the original 100% Norwegian wool used for the Hap as a kit and have a look at all of my handmade knitting accessories within my little farm shop:

Please note: I had 25 grams of yarn left, when I bound off the Hap.
This hap was designed to use only 100% pure wool.
Please consider the environment before printing out this pattern. It was written to be used in a digital format.
