These fingerless mittens are covered into a bunch of unique lace tree leaves. They are knit all in the round with a thumb gusset and are totally seamless. They are interesting to knit and will look as nice in a plain as in a variegated colorway. The construction instructions are written, the lace part is charted only.

Skill level: intermediate.

Techniques: knit/purl in the round, increase, lace.

Yarn: 50 grams of any fingering weight yarn. The sample was made in Versailles Woll Butt baby yarn. But any sock yarn will work fine too. Variegated and solid colorways are both great choices.

Gauge / size:
Size small / medium: 36 stitches and 44 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette (US 1 / 2.25 mm needles)
Size medium / large: 32 stitches x 40 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette (US 2 / 2.75 mm needles)

Tools: Size US 1 / 2.25 mm or US 2 / 2.75 mm double pointed needles (or 1 long circular needle if you prefer magic loop) or size to get gauge; tapestry needle; scissors; stitch holder or small length of waste yarn; 2 stitch markers.
