’The Tree of Life’.
‘As above, so below’ meaning involves the phrase, “as the universe, so the soul.” This connects to the idea that what’s inside us is also everywhere in the universe. We’re simply a moving part of something larger, a small component of a giant machine. What a great way to think about life!
This was the very first pattern that I designed and what really kicked it all off. Mum was looking for a filet crochet pattern that was a bit more advanced and couldn’t find anything she liked so she gave me the task of coming up with a ‘fancy’ design. And here it is!
It took a long time to get this pattern just right but we feel that we have finally got there. We have developed the pattern in different formats to follow: in a grid/block chart pattern to follow throughout, crochet symbols (for the first 9 rows so that you understand how to increase on each row) and written instructions for the first few lines until you get into the swing of it!
The yarn used was a 4 ply which created an adult size shawl.
Knowledge of filet crochet is needed to be able to do this project. Filet crochet is not hard to learn and there are you tube video to help.
