Tree of Life
Inspired by the Knit a River and Nike Petition projects, I designed this knitted tree. It could be donated to a local school or eco-charity to be used as an Earth Day (April 22) awareness piece, or it could become a decoration for a child’s room.
The tree can be as large or as small as you like. The leaves are quick and fun to knit, and they could be sent in from any number of knitters. The trunk is a larger piece and should be completed by a single knitter.
The tree scales easily. While the instructions will produce a tree about four feet tall, a single knitter could create a knitted bonsai fairly quickly.
