Tree of Life pillow
Tree of Life cabled pillowcase is made in overlay crochet. Multiple front post stitches create a structured pattern over plain background. The fabric is dense and no lining is needed. Central tree square can be used as a separate decoration for fabric pillowcase, potholders or as motifs for afghans.
Please, read all the details about this design on my blog HERE.
The pattern (15 pages) is written for one size. It contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of progress pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places.
Difficulty level: Intermediate (front post stitches).
This pattern was thoroughly tested by 11 experienced testers and approved.
Materials: Yarn in one color, crochet hook of an appropriate size. I used approx. 380g (8 skeins) of Stone Washed XL by Scheepjes and 4.5mm and 5mm crochet hooks.
Size: The size of finished pillow depends on the yarn and hook you use. My pillow is approx. 40cm (16in) large.
There are two copies of the pattern offered to download: one is very detailed with many pictures, and second copy is printer friendly (with written instructions only and no pictures).
