This pattern is part of the Project Peace 2018 e-book… all about seeds and peace. Available as a single pattern or as part of the e-book collection that will be completed by December 2019.

This shawl uses another variation on the seed stitch, the “double” or “moss” stitch. It produces a bigger stitch especially when using a heavier weight yarn. The resulting shawl reminds me of a pine cone filled with the seeds needed to grow a forest.

The shawl is worked flat from the top down with slipped stitch edges. The body of the shawl is a type of seed stitch; the border uses the ribbed stitch from the Project Peace 2018 cowl.

With this shawl, may you be one with the forest while making, stroll in a forest while wearing, and be inspired to plant a tree for future generations to come.
