PATTERN NOTES
This sweater is worked from the top down, beginning with the shoulder tabs. The back and front stitches are picked up from the selvedge edges of the tabs, the neck stitches are increased and cast on. The back, front and sleeves are worked simultaneously for the yoke, then at the underarms the sleeve stitches are held and stitches are cast on for the body. The body is worked with the side patterns expanding across the front and back as it’s worked down. Then the sleeves are worked separately from the underarm to the cuff. Stitches are picked up around the neckline for the neckband.
The pattern is designed for nine sizes. It is advised that you highlight all numbers relating to your size throughout before beginning. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. When a zero is used, no stitches are worked for that size.
