This is a complex project, but the finished product is a detailed sweater with a front trellis bordered by cables. A special feature of the pattern in the way it perfectly hugs Ellowyne’s curves.

This knitting pattern can help you create a detailed aran sweater, like the ones pictured here. This fisherman-style Aran turtleneck is modeled after beautiful heirloom sweaters originally knitted in the islands of the same name close to Ireland.

The sweater may fit a variety of 17 inch fashion dolls, but is specifically fitted to the small busted dolls like Ellowyne Wilde & Tonner’s Cami dolls. The sweater is completely open in the back for ease of dressing. The body is knit in one piece and separated at the arm holes. It has set-in sleeves, and the collar is picked up and knitted after the shoulders have been sewn together.

Supplies

• Lightweight fingering yarn--I used “Palette” and “Stroll” from knitpicks.com
• Knitting Needles sized 000 and 0 (1.5 & 2 mm) Sweater is worked with size 0 needles.
• six sets of 4/0 snaps for back closure with matching thread

Gauge
* With size 0 needles in stockinette stitch, 20 stitches & 26-27 rows in a 2 x 2 inch (5.1 cm) square.
