Pattern Notes
This pattern is suitable for beginner knitters confident with casting on, knit and purl stitches. Additional techniques used are, knit two stitches together (k2tog) and slipping one stitch over another stitch. A crochet chain stitch is used for the cord. It is assumed an understanding of how to make a tassel.

Sample knitted in Stylecraft Special DK in the following shades: Parchment #1218 (bunting triangles), Spearmint #1842 (cord), tassels in the following, Vintage Peach #1836, Wisteria #1432, Pistachio #1822, Pale Rose #1080, Duck Egg #1820, Camel #1420, Lincoln #1834.
Alternative yarn
Suitable for most DK weight yarns. Choose a main colour, a contrast cord colour and 7 tassels colours.
Approximately 25m (27 yrds) of yarn per bunting triangle.
Approximately 1.5m (60 ins) of yarn per tassel.
Knitting needles
Pair of 4.5mm knitting needles
Notions
Crochet hook size 4mm (or near this size for making the cord)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and attaching tassels
