Trellis of Trinkets Shawl
This triangular shaped shawl has an open lace crochet design with stepped beaded edge. It has a light dainty feel and is perfect to wear in those transitional months. The stitch pattern is a simple four-row repeat and works up quite quickly.
This design only requires one 100g skein of fingering weight yarn and 84 beads.
Familiarity with basic crochet techniques and working in rows is desirable. You will be working with beads and encasing them within the stitches. A tutorial for crocheting with beads is also included in the pattern.
The finished size of the triangular shaped shawl is approx 140cm in length and 48cm in depth.
It is written in English, and is available in both US and UK crochet terms.
The pattern has full colour photos and is easy to read and understand. A Tracking Sheet has been included for you to use, this allows you to mark off the rows as you go, check row stitch counts and easily find your place within the pattern.
FAQS
Q: Can this shawl be made without adding beads?
A: Yes it can! Just skip past the beading tutorial and when you reach a stitch that would normally need a bead encased, just work the regular stitch instead.
Q: Do I have to use hand dyed yarn?
A: No. This pattern will work with any fingering weight yarn, including commercially dyed yarn too.
Please share photos of your finished items, as I love seeing the work of others :)
Happy Hooking!
