This lovely, triangular, top-down shawl has alternating patterns of stitches resembling fences and trellises using two solid colors and a variegated that ties them both together. It would also look beautiful with three ombre colors. When knit with fingering weight, superwash merino wool such as Malabrigo Sock, this pattern creates an unbelievably soft and drapey shawl.

The pattern begins with a garter tab cast on then the wingspan and depth is developed by increasing four stitches every right side (odd) row. Two triangles branch out from a pretty Japanese lifted-over-knotted motif spine.
